Why Design


In the early 1990s, I co-founded AdamsMorioka based on the words "clarity, purity, and resonance." Design at the time was chaotic, oblique, and distopian. I believed design could be about optimism, accessible to the audience, simple, and emotionally relevant.

In 2014, I launched The Office of Sean Adams. I continue to believe the ideas of clarity, purity, and resonance are critical in design. But, now, I am more interested in work and service that follows the ideas of kindness, generosity, and compassion with a pinch of the unexpected and disruptive.
